How waterproof is the F75 coil?

BTaylor

New member
I was wondering if the F75 is okay for small stream detecting.
Has anybody used the F75 in fresh water less than a foot deep? Is the coil really waterproof or do you have to add more waterproofing silicon?

Thanks, Bill

I hunted in a river with my feet (relatively) dry and the coil submerged a few inches. No problems I could detect (n'yuk, n'yuk).

I've submerged mine to about a foot in fresh water and experienced no problems. HH jim tn
