Started out as an idea, and worked. A simple, yet effective way of winterizing, and protecting your investment.

"A DUCK TAPE DETECTOR COVER"

Almost done.....as I bought some camo duck tape and want to make it look nice. The plans are done in a pictorial fashion to make it easy for all.

Now I just insert a couple of hot pacs into the duck tape cover and my batteries and digital screen should perform well for hours.

You better install fresh batteries 1st! CAuse the 1st time the batteries are replaced this duct-tape will have to be torned up in order to get to the battery compartment! Now if you can figure out a good way to access the batteries without tearing up this weatherized set-up, then that would be great!.........................................Merry Holidays..................Joe

Try an Ace Bandage (lol.....no pun intended), or if you have a Tractor Supply, Farm & Fleet, Big Blue, etc nearby, they carry a roll of legwrapping for horses similar to the ace bandage, but it clings to itsself. Easy on & off, reuseable, and no residue left. About $2 a roll, and 1 roll would be more than enough.
