How to put on a coil cover

I feel like a fool. I just got a new MXT and I cannot figure out how to get the coil cover on. The inner part doesn't seem to want to go over the lip of the inside of the coil.

Is there a trick to getting this thing on?

The reason I ask is the gray cover is for the MXT/DFX coils while the black cover is for the other Whites and seen many try to put the other cover on the MXT coil and it will not fit.
If it is the gray cover and should say MXT or DFX in it, then it should go on with no problem.

Hi Gregg:
Look inside the grey coil-cover and it should say DFX & BHID
on the inside.<p> The cover will snap into place over the coil
but it's sort of tight to keep it from coming off. You will
have to use a little pressure to get it on the coil.<p> It's also
hard to get off if you ever decide to clean under it. I remove
mine occasionally and clean it along with my coil & machine. **Happy Hunting**

It is actually black, not Grey. And it has no markings at all inside it.

Was I given the wrong cover?

...the black coil cover will not fit on your MXT. You need the grey one.
