How to private message

I don't know if this is the right spot or not, but I can not for the life of me figure out how to send provate messages on this forum......any hints or tips?

All you have to do is click on the persons name like mine "coinnut" when you see it somewheres (like in a post) and one of the options that will appear is "send a private message". Click that and a screen will appear to write your message. Hope it helps.

Is the general rule. This may include the time on message activation. Not positive of time frame.

THat's what I was doing,but nothing pops up regarding a private message. Do I need to be a member for a certain amount of time first?

Thanks so much for the information. I read something in one of the classifieds that referred to someone as rude or some such thing for not sending a PM on an item. I didn't want to offend anyone so I though instead of just posting like I had been doing, I would PM a question to another member....but since I don't yet have that capability, I will continue to post as I have been until I can PM. Thanks again for claifiying those rules....

An alt. way to send a PM until your 90 days is up is to click on ones user name and many will list an Email address.

Just went through this when I registered to try to contact a seller. Here's what the Helpdesk had to say:


Messaging isn't available to new registered members until 14 days after their registered date because we had abuse issue in the past with spams and frauds. Support Desk


I think the 90 days / 24 posts thing is just for posting ads.
