how to post a picture

Hello i tried to post a pic but it says it is to big.I do not know how to make it smaller any help please i took the pcture and tried to upload it but it will not let me its to big and i dont know how to reduse it

croakersmoker,
Use a computer digital camera program, such as the 'Adobe Photoshop Elements #8"'. You can buy this at Costco for about
$79. This is the best one for the money. Similar programs will do almost as well and could be less expensive.
You open up the program. Hit edit, then image, then re-size, then image size, then document size. This will
give you your photo size in inches. Using the width size, put in 10 inches. Then, go up to 'edit' click
on this and use 'save as'. Give your file (photo) a name and save it, making sure you use the .jpg or .jpeg
extension. This will send you to a window called 'JPEG Options. Hit OK. That's it. It might look like 'myphoto.jpg'. This should put your photo under 350 kb. Your original photo
was probably greater than 1 mb. 1mb=1000kb.

For an easier way of reducing your photo size is to use a Scanner. Scan the photo in, and depending on which Scanner you use, there will
be options to reduce the photo size. You can reduce the photo 'dpi' from 300 to 200 dpi., or you might be able to scale it down in size
so that you can save it under 350 kb. Key words are "re-size", "save as", or "export".
If you can't use "save as" and be able to save as a .jpg, then try export. The idea is to use the '.jpg' extension after your
photo name so you can bring it into this Forum and it has to be under 350 kb.
Its sounds complicated, but once you do one, the next photos will be easier.

Hi Mate
Once you have added your picture onto your computer send it to desktop, then open with paintbox re size from 100 down to 30 & save. Then when you send it wont be too big  sorted

That's what I do open the pic with paint then re size from the tool bar.
