How to overcome the ground chatter of the F75.....

When using fast-grab the detectors seems to be right on with the ground balance. It is so good that after ground balancing every tiny change in the ground matrix is seen as a target. I use fast-grab first and then change to manual ground balance and GB the detector plus 3 numbers. So if fastgrab was 70 I set it to 73 (positive offset). Thar way the detector doesn't see very small changes in the ground matrix as a target anymore. 3 numbers plus is about what a 1/8 turn on a 4 turn tesoro ground balance would be.

Hope that helps,

I've been experimenting and found the chatter will greatly decrease when using less tones, I found the 2F (Two Tones) to work best in areas the F-75 may experience chatter. (1) and (1F) reduce chatter too but the (2F) appears to be the clearest tone mode, At least for my area in Ca.

Also, The F-75 is more sensitivity to conduct a proper Ground balance with the fast grab feature. The T-2 will ground balance (using fast grab) in areas the F-75 will not, That's when it's best to use the manual GB and then switch over to disc mode if a F-75 user is struggling to GB with the fast grab.

Plus, Depending on location and mineralization reducing the sens too much will increase chatter, I operate my F-75 between 5-10 disc depending on location. Around 5 and above the chatter goes away depending on location and still allows the user to hear iron.
