How to modify a Dead battery pack..........

Mega

New member
I have a Musketeer mounted on a straight shaft and modified for river detecting,it originally came with just a battery pack for AA bateries but about 5 years ago i was able too locate a rechargable pod and charger for it and this has worked a treat but i think the time that it holds a good charge is gradually getting worst.

So without the high cost involved in buying a new pack is it possible to open the old pack and renew the batteries ??? of course i can still use the original pack with high quality batteries but rechargable ones are much more handy to just plug in and charge.

So has any one opened the old battery pack ?? if so how and what is involved in doing it please.

Thanks

Hi Jeff, thanks for your reply and suggestion, but alas i forgot to mention that i am based out of the UK so the expense of getting one made up in the US would be higher than buying the real thing.

But saying that tonight i will check on the internet for similar sites that you have suggested so yes you have been a great help.

Thanks very much
