how to make a pic smaller enabling upload

You will need to use some type of image software. Most all cameras software can do this.
There are free image programs on the web that can do it. Even MS has a program that
can do it.

I have often used a program called thumbs to do this. The present version is called Thumbs Plus.
But it's not free. Also the free GIMP image program can probably do it.

Myself, for resizing my camera images, I usually use the Sony PMB software that
came with the camera.
Like I say, the software that come with most any camera should allow you to resize.
Then once you do that, you just need a server to store it on.. IE: photobucket, etc..
Myself, I use my own web server room to store images and video. That way I can post
anything I want, in any size I want.

The easiest way I have found to re-size pictures is to Email them to myself. Windows Mail asks me what size to send them and I chose Medium, one or 10 at a time. When I get my Email I save them to my pictures folder and they are ready to use.

I use a program called Faststone image viewer. It will keep the same image dimensions (if you want) but make the size(kb) a lot smaller.

My new computer has a program called Paint. Makes resizing a picture very easy and quick.

I use a free down load called Irfanview. I've used it for years now and no problems.

I've never had a problem with it. I usually just resize to 50%. Just put is on your desktop...

I get a headache just reading this. One of these days, I'm going to try and send some photos again. What is that coin/button, JoeKool? I downloaded this image resizer power something from microsoft and it worked a couple times. After that, I never could get it to work and it's been so long since I used it was deleted. Of course, I have not found anything worth posting unless you want to see 4-5 gallon buckets full of scrap metal, wire and foil. lol
It looks like a Dragon with wings and a coat of armor or is it a bird? What year was it made and what country was this coin or button from? HH
