How to detect in the rain.

Thought I'd draw this one up for you poor guys over there where the weather really sucks now.
Happy Hunting!

Show us the next drawing, after you have to send your machine in for repairs. I've done my share of rain hunting, and of sending my machine in too. Good drawing though.HH

No problem going out in the rain. I just use my DetectorPro HeadHunter Wader and I'm off. Weather doesn't bother it at all. Fine for dry land, beach and ocean detecting. :detecting:

LOL nice drawing. I use a ziptop bag over my control housing and some electrical tape on my Ace 250 and swing away.

i have seriously wondered if you could detect in the rain and I to have thought of using a plastic bag over mine as well. wasnt sure if it would work or not ... glad to know some of ya do hunt in the rain....hh rain or shine.

I hunt in that all the time good conductor for the coil Troy X5 can take it . Dan

If it EVER DID rain here we'd just take a holiday, stand out in it and wonder what's going on! :yikes:

I guess your not detecting if it's not raining, by the way where do you park your car? opps, my bad, your boat.

Ok, I didn't expect the wits to come out!! Coinnut, that was a great response. Magicman, anywhere I can anchor it!! I just don't land hunt that much anymore. I ahve a DFX but it has been sitting idol for over a year. I will probably sell it. I hunt in the water if it is sunny or raining. Thunderstorms don't bother me either as long as I am not getting in or out!!

It must be great to dive for the finds!!! The sheer amount of rings that must be just beyond the wading capacity of most people, must be huge!!! Finding that sweet area for rings, that the waves have brought out, can be very rewarding, especially since the price gold and silver is outrageous. Good luck and Happy hunting. And if you post it, we will let our sense of humor out, every once in a while.

Thanks coinnut. And to magicman. This is where I park my boat most the summer. Strawberry island in lake St. Clair. You can wade forever and be on a sand. A huge amount of boats park here every weekend. I have found so many diamond rings and gold rings out here its unbelievable. I take out my friends and they find gold. My only real silver dollar 1922 peace came from here and my oldest coin a 1672 Spanish Reale, and a few of my most expensive diamond rings. You can see the island where I am anchored, and that far away from the island I am only in water up to my waist. Silver and gold are all over this place. This area is so huge nobody could ever get it all. I take 2 to 3 people with me most of the time and we all do pretty well. This is the kind of hunting that I love to do, as long as its durring the week.

The island has a few houses on it. Built back in the late 1800's. GREAT spot to play in.
