how to deal with wet sand cave ins?

Finally got my sand shark to the beach and am learning pretty good. Couldn't go into the water since it's too cold, but did go to the edge. I got a hit there but it caved in with more sand as soon as I could get scoops out since it was so wet. When I do go in the water when it warms I'm sure it's the same way and was wondering if there are any tips/tricks to reach the target?

The best thing for me is to use a big scoop. A lot of folks have no ideal how difficult it can be to retrieve a target in the surf and wet.

There is a video from two guys down under it is on youtube it is called GOLD ON THE BEACH.6 He is some nice tools.

I have a huge scoop - stavr scoop evro excavator. My guess is press deep .and let sand flow up through the bottom. I couldn't push down too much because I had shoes/socks on and didn't want to get them drenched.

Thanks Radio. I've seen some of their videos but not that one. Nice shovel they have. I use a scoop because I think most goodies are in the surf where I hunt. I just hope I can get to them when I get hits in there.

The wife and I will be heading to the beach early june and we have found the same type of shovel he moded to make that one. So she has designed we need one. He also has this floating shiffter screen in another video.

Yep a good sized scoop and move as fast as you can.
