how to clean Presidential coins found buried in the dirt

What do you use to clean Presidential gold coins buried in the dirt. I tried to clean them but now there are places that wont take them :goodnight:
 
The bank should have no problem taking them.
 
I was thinking vending machine however they are $1 coins. I don't like them because many mistake them for a quarter. I watched a program several months ago that the gov't has tons and tons of them in storage because many do not like them. (like me) One day I had to point out to a young lady (behind the store counter) that I had given her three dollars not .75 cents.
