How to clean old silver

Here how to clean up those black old silver rings.
1. Place the ring in a dish with salt, Arm & Hammer Super washing soda (available in the detergent isle)
2. Pour boiling water over it and agitate for 10 minutes.
3. Clean with soap and a toothbrush
4. Clean with your favorite silver polish and a soft rag. The results are incredible.

Oops, I forgot to mention that you must place the silver item on a piece of foil withg the soda wash and salt for the chemical reaction to occur.

An old quick and free silver cleaning method is just to spit on the ring or coin and rub with a piece of silver foil. A chemical reaction occurs, you can feel the heat, and it takes only a minute or two.
