How to change from fixed / manual ground balance in VAQUERO 2 GERMANIA

Hi buddies, I bought a Tesoro Vaquero 2 Germania, this device offers the possibility of fixed ground balance or manually ground balance, but does not specify how the user to switch between manual or fixed, not if be better to change the mode using the power off or not important? .... and change in all metal mode or discrimination, is important or not? ..... do not want to damage this device.

When you turn the ground balance knob all the way counter clockwise, it goes into a fix ground balance!

The balance knob to select the ground, I have clear what, if left wing tour until you hear a click.
This exchange between manual operation and fixed, as I make it?
With the detector operating or the power is off?
If you could make the change with the detector working, as would make the change? all metal mode or mode discrimination.

Doesn't matter if the machine is on or off, just turn the ground balance anti clockwise until it clicks. Then the ground balance is preset for both modes.
