HOW TIGHT SHOULD A WET SUIT BE ?? HOW LOOSE CAN i GET AWAY WITH

Well syfta, I'll tell ya how I do the fittin'. It may not be the best, but it's how I do it. It fits me snugly, but not to the point where my circulation is cut off, which makes you cold. Water gets in and gets warm and I'm good. When you are working hard in the water, it's not too bad. Now, if you get out there in the water and think your gunna wet sand and it's cold outside, yer gunna be hating life. That dog won't hunt. Either yer in or out savvy? Did I go a little overboard on yer question there syfta? Hope I helped ya!

(Ooops... originally I typed 50 degrees... It should of read 60)

If the water is 60 or more degrees than a 4/3mm full should fit snugly like GulfHunter said. When you try on the suit, if it's snug and you can raise your arms above your head "effortlessly" as well as squat without a lot of resistance- then it's perfect. The idea here is the suit should fit a snug as possible but still allows you to move freely. Also, getting in water that's around 50 degrees will feel 50 degrees in a neoprene wet suit. The kicker is when you get out of the water it's even colder in dry air. You'll feel like your freezing to death. Around 60 degrees you wont have this problem.

If your in water under 50 degrees temperature then you need a "Dry Suit". Those are close to $1,000 for a mediocre suit with a swivel exhaust.

Hope this helps
