how susceptible is a fisher 1270 to interference from other detectors

Will be hunting amongst other detectorists within close proximity of each other in the next week and was just wondering if anyone could tell me how susceptible the 1270 is to interference from other units... i know my excal goes crazy around other minelab units, was wondering how the 1270 should fair....

I've hunted with my two brothers and they both have used the 1270 at times while hunting with me and there wasn't a frequency issue with my f5. My f5 has the option of changing frequency which comes in handy when hunting close to other detectors, that may be an option on your detector?

I never had mine in a club hunt environment but like my brother SL52 said above I hunted with them and never had to move away from either of there detectors.

What your talking about is called "Detector Cross Talk" this becomes more of an issue when the detectors are near the same operating frequency. My two brothers above both have mention hunting with each other while one was using a 1270 and the other something else, but SL52's F5 and my Omega would weird completely out when we got within 20 feet of each other. but it wasn't a noise problem, they just sort of didn't work (cancel each other out), he would have a good signal and call me over to check it and I'd say there isn't anything there at all! then he would put his F5 back over the target and get the same results I did, nothing! I have had other encounters with detector cross talk where it was noise.
So, detector cross talk don't always act as one would expect.

yes, i agree , thats why i used the word interference. .. the excal will start acting up 20 ft away from other minelabs which isn't a bad thing when you are close to the other unit because at that point it is obvious. .but when operating on that outside perimeter it can really throw you like you said you swear you're swing over a target but nothing there or target moves with every swing type of thing... i appreciate your feedback and yes I also believe simular frequencies would be the main issue. .. i will be shallow water hunting with my modified1270 so hopefully im the only one out there broadcasting on that frequency. .lol..

Ok, 1st hand experience today,1270 does go a little haywire near excal and ctx 3030.. i run my 1270 on the ragged edge so im not to surprised. ..
