Hello all. There was an old(by Florida standards) church torn down in my neighborhood.I went about six times, and hammered it with my Lone Star, using the 4" coil. I used low disc, low sens, and took my time and removed all trash. Here's the total: 1-small clasp pat.1897-1-med.clasp pat.1902-1901 "V" nickel-1924 buffalo nickel-30 early "wheaties" 1913 to 1935 -2 mercury dimes 1934-3 1920's Ford keys-1-Eagle mfg.co.padlock(date?) 1-heavy cast gold plated ring-6 Billion tons of scrap! My hunting partner hit it with his Explorer using the small coil, standard coil, and the Giant coil(I asked if he was looking for a buried model T) His reaction after four hours of hunting: "Dude you did an amazing job of cleaning this place out" ,granted he found some clad coins, but no real keepers. The great thing about the BH'S, is that there is no pressure to make the machine "earn it's keep". This is one of my favorite quotes from lost treasure magazine: "The secret is to go as often as you can, and to enjoy every moment without worrying that you are missing something or not hunting deep enough! All detectors will find coins and jewelry within the 3 to 5 inch range, where the vast majority lie. The real difference is not the machine, but the user.Learn to slow your speed, overlap your swings, and know your machine well. These three things will increase your finds better than a high dollar machine"
