How much longer........

How much longer will Minelab be doing repair/service on the Explorer 2, does anyone know?------Minelab has that 10 yr. repair date set & in place.---Is that supposed to be from the date they dis-continue their models---or??-----Was just wondering about the Explorer 2 in particular--how much longer they will have parts & do service work on it?------I suppose a lot of it depends on if they still have parts for ANY of their dis-continued models (whether they will work on them or not).-----------Del

My theory on that is a lot of SE components could be used in the repair of Explorer2's resulting in EX2/SE hybrids but I guess that would depend on wether or not Minelab finds it profitable enough to have enough spare parts to fix both models .

Id say a lot will depend on how many they estimate are still out there and in use. If there are still lots out there and its a popular model .... then its worth doing repairs especially since they are OUT of warranty and those cost are on you.
