How much for a used GTI 2500?

Recently saw a used GTI1350 for sale for $350, in my town and was gone in two days. What would be a good price for the GTI 2500?

thanks, Epi

:usaflag:I guess for me there would be some questions. How long have they owned it, how much did it get used, and where was it stored. If it looks "like new" vs "beat on"......They are around $950 new I think so...I've seen used ones sell for $500 to $800. Bring along a handful of coins and test it (of course). Good luck.

I have not seen one under $600.00 yet. I have 6 whites machines and I am looking for a GTI 2500 myself. John............

When buying used detectors, I start at 50% of new. If it appears to be real clean and hardly used and I REALLY want it, I'll slide up to 60% but no more. I figure if this guy doesn't want to sell at that price the next guy might. Just don't let yourself slip into the "I gotta have it" mentality and you'll come up with the machine you want soon enough.

i found one yesterday for $400 obo. I e-mail the guy but it sold, but he said his father has one for sale but will want more than $400
since his sold in 15 min. Timing is everything.

Yeah that's about par for the course unless it is exceptional. One should check around on different dealer prices for new ones as they often discount them 20%, then work from that figure - not the MSRP.
