How many use stock programs ... questions ...

Do you use the stock program or tweek it?

What type of hunting do you do and what do you tweek?

Do you start from scratch and create a new program?

I mainly use stock programs and tweek them. Coil and Jewelry, High Trash programs are the ones I tweek and of course change out coil as required for the area as required. Tot Lots, Beach, Old Home places, School Grounds, public parks are my hunting grounds.

Most people I think use custom programs. By the time I'm done it wouldn't matter what program I started with. It makes sense to have all your programs use the same color scheme and live controls layout. Rob

I use a custom program, but it started with the Relic program. Almost every option is tweeked; Ground Tracking, Filters, Audio, Sensitivity, Frequency Options.....There are some great programs on the sticky on top of the page.

The stock programs work very well right out of the box for learning, but most of us will use a stock program as a template and start changing things. The V3i is like making your own custom made detector and set it up however you like it. If you want the speed of the F-75, fine.....if you want a slower deep seeker, you can do that too. A stereo mixed mode Nautilus, a push of the button. Just about everything can be tweaked to your liking.
