We have a Detecting club up here in North Dakota and Minnesota called Minkota Artifacts Recovery Group - Marg for short. Rick(ND) is a big asset to our club as he is a dealer and he allows us to have our meetings at their establishment. We have 55 members in our club and Most of the users are Minelab owners. Im just curious if there are alot of clubs out there.

Hi staloch, I'm with the Pensacola Historical Treasure Hunters Association here in Pensacola, Fla.. We have 53 members total. 24 individual members, 20 family members, 7 lifetime members and 2 honorable members. Our club is in it 22nd year.
I will be informing our club about this forum in our next news letter for all that have internet access. This is a great forum, and a great place for us to meet each other and to stand up for our hobby! I think you asked a very needed to be asked question! I have been reading this forum for the last four and a half months and never posted until now. I think your question is a very important one! It is important that we all know how many there are of us that want to protect and move our hobby into the future. There are many out there that would like nothing more than to put an end to what we enjoy and have every right to continue doing. It would be a good thing to have a club forum section on this site so we can cover the things that affect us all and stand as one when needed.
Thank you for asking!

I belong to a great detecting club, where we have monthly meetings with guest speakers, a raffle and club outings. We have a "finds" board with 5 categories
oldest coin, most valuable coin, best jewelry, miscellaneous, mineral
It is great family fun with great people.
We just started a website www.highdeserttreasureclub.org
take a look.
I highly recommend joining a club near you.
Happy Hunting

Rick is a great person and promotes the hobby like no other. If it wasnt for Rick, I would have probably never gotten into the hobby like i have. Rick goes out of his way to help people in the hobby of Metal Detecting.

My Wife and myself enjoy having the meeting here as it seem like it is the only way we can make it to the meeting.
What makes this club is having you and Jeff working hard to keep the club together and the great stories by the greatest people to tell at each meetings.
What impresses me is how you have your whole family involved in detecting and how they enjoy it too as it is hard now days to see families enjoying things together.
We have a great club with great people that all try to help one another and care about this great hobby. Makes me proud to be part of it.

Rick
