too many regulations on liquor here years back. In fact, Alberta had rules that ladies could not enter a bar unescorted and there were two entrances, Men Only and Ladies and Escorts. There was a line across the bar floor, one side men only the other for ladies and escorts. They only changed that in the 60's

In Windsor Ontario. We went smelt dipping every spring at Point Pelee on lake Erie. I remember stopping at a bar and like you said, two doors and they were labled like you said. I had never seen it before
