'Battle of New Orleans',by Johnny Horton.......'In 1814 we took a little trip,along with Col.Jackson down the Mighty Mississipp........'Some of these old classic songs are VERY popular with older folks and bring many smiles,especially with the instrumental guitar introduction.........:thumbup:
 
i remember a lot of songs like that from when i was in school but can never find an oldies station thats plays any of them.

i found a site one time where they had the songs from different years listed and you could click on the ones you wanted to listen to but can't find it anymore. radio.com looks pretty good.

A great song that I remember well . Another one I really liked was "please Mr. Custer " . Thanks for stirring up some old memories .:thumbup: Hmmmm...... I guess I am old .:lol:
