The posts for finds have decreased, but lots of clicks on the posts. Been crazy weather up here in Edmonton. During the last 3 weeks, we have had temps get above melting about 10 degrees, then dip to -25 the next with the wind factor, to be also assaulted with pouring rain, freezing rain and snow. I have too much snow on the ground, ice inches below the snow and currently -22 with the wind.
Yep, snowed in...getting another 5" today of heavy snow and ice here in W Michigan..havnt swung coil since December..this is the longest I've gone since I started this Sport with no hunts..lost 1/3rd of the year so far!.
You know whats sort of fun? Going back to last years posts or the years before on the same date to see what you and the rest were doing!
I brought all my gear in the house and am modifying it..did a big whack job on my F70, ran the coil cable inside the lower tube, and cut the fins off the coil! I might run that AtPro headphone cable inside the upper tube like STP did back in October I think...that was a sweet mod... Maybe I'll build another scoop for a backup? Getting ready for when this breaks and plotting!

I've hunted in some heavy beach wind where your legs get shredded by the blowing sand and you can hear it whistling through the holes on a sandscoop, even with headphones on it makes an annoying flutey sound, similar to a Minelab I've been told!

but the rain did not stop since. 2 weeks ago. On Sunday I went out in the morning, the sun too and I accompanied the hunt. In the afternoon it rained again. Tuesday's still raining. I have some scales on the back and something strange between fingers
This was taken yesterday and it is snowing again...n
This was taken Friday, ATPro in paradise. Still trying to get the silver presentable but I got one piece of bling with ice that need no cleaning. Just haven't gotten around to posting. Already making plans to go back to Cancun next year. Decided this time just take my Garrett and work the sand. The surf infront of our resort is so rough you can't water hunt. Most of the hotel zone is like that. I may water hunt in Playa del Carmen one year, the big reef and Cozumel create a little calmer surf conditions. We love the water in Cancun I will likely get a post up in today's finds tomorrow. I was surprised at what I did find in the short hunts I managed between cervesas y margaritas - was the sun not the hooch that limited my swing time. I really hate snow! Wifey is murdering a mojito there.

John, yes- everything has blended into the white. We've had quite a dumping this winter. Tired of raking snow off the roof. I met warm and friendly Canadians in Mexico from Alberta & New Brunswick, lots of fun talking about escaping the cold & snow. Swinging a detector there drew a lot of comments that led to introductions.

No snow to speak of here, but its been a nasty, cold and wet Feb and Mar thus far. Many less days of hunting, save for our St Simons Island trip, then in previous years. And, the rest of the week doesn't look good, either. Non the less, I feel for you snow bound guys and gals. But remember, each day brings you one more closer to spring. HH jim tn
-30 this morning with wind chill-43. But the long term looks much better. I'm too busy to worry about it much right now, but I do Jones a bit to hear some beeps.
