Scenario you go to your favorite hunting grounds and you see some stranger hunting on your turf.Like two plains Indian's you meet. Now these Indians even though from different tribes and languages had another way to communicate. The medicine shields each one of these warriors carried told stories about their lives ambitions names personalities and tribes.Being curious you go up to the other hunter and ask hows the searching going. After a short conversation and Finds Treasure is mentioned and its like meeting someone you know.Hey your Ron from Mich.ectttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

I've only met one serious warrior in my area. He was a nice guy, but:

He saw me recover jewelery where he and his buddies had been hunting

for wears. That's after he told me it was hunted out. He's in the Whites,

Minlab and Fisher crowd. He had never seen a Tesoro man. They are

anonymous. Like ghost. They seem to hit and run and don't frequent

any forums. There's no clubs here and no dealers.

The next time I went to that spot, there were holes every where. He did

not cover some holes at all. The rain washed the loose dirt into the ground.

I had to carry dirt to the holes to fill them back in because everyone knows

about me. I can't hide.

HH,

They challenged you by saying your medicine no good, but being a Tesoro warrior you proved them wrong. And you scared them off your hunting ground.

LOL the only ones I've come across did a good job of marking the hole but left the treasure behind for me. Dan

Hasn't happened yet but I hope it does..Lots of nice people from this forum worthy of meeting..It would be a real pleasure meeting some of you guys and girls in the field.

It's been rare that I get to speak with another MD guy...

They were pretty nice fellows, though.

My machine only has two knobs and 1 switch. They had whiz bang fancy MD's like in the W&E T magazine and a sword on their belt and didn't seem very threatened by the likes of me. A couple of them told me how sweet their machines were and actually showed me how it could find a pulltab, and a penny... just like mine does! and they could see it on their meter, too.:)

Wonder how they didn't find it..

Elton,if you see these hunters in the park go over and introduce yourself and mention Finds Forum. It we be interesting to find the profile of these misguided individuals.

Not a bad idea...........I think they see some junk items in excavation and figure thats what was sounding off..and then they do not fill hole back properly
Or in all fairness they miss the coin completly, and the squirrels dig up the loose dirt..I have had that happen. I was told that is common in the park ???
Gone back next morning and several holes were partially dug out.

I know in cold weather below freezing if the hole is plugged the next day you'll see an open hole.

Loose dirt and partially filled hole, coin missed? That's one reason I always use a pinpointer. When coins become discolored and end up matching the soil color a pinpointer helps a bunch. Too, sometimes the digging will throw the coin a fair little distance.

the first bloke i meet wil give up more than i will..........experience! i'll chew his ear for info till he takes off from the pain..!

One one of the hunts on You Tube you could see the round outline of the button and the guy was still digging at least four more shovel full scoops with the button right on top of the hole..If the guy had a pin pointer he could save work, ground and history.

The only way I could run into any one else is move or take a trip to the beach.

I have this place all to myself. There are a few people that have MD's but they collect dust. I wouldn't be bothered at all if I looked up and saw someone from here.

It would be a better sight than seeing a black bear or a mountain lion sitting on a rock wondering if I taste good.
