How many F2 users are there out there?

Hi folks,
Newbie to metal detecting and to the forum. Just ordered an F2 from Andrew and New England Detectors and can't wait until the box arrives next week - neither can the kids! Also got the Garrett Pro Pointer. How many of you are regular F2 users? I plan to read and re-read any literature I get and will be watching various videos that are posted to get going and grow in the hobby. I must say thanks to all who share and mentor those of us who are new.

I have a feeling that many coins in the park across the street and the school yard up the hill will be awaken from their hibernation early

My son and I have one and really like it. We have several starter detectors, of course we have the Garrett ACE250 then the White's CoinMaster which is really a Prizm III, and then we have a couple of Bounty Hunters. We sometimes argue over who gets to use the Fisher F2 he wins most of the time. You will have to learn the sounds, it does make alot of different sounds but once you get it, the coins will pop right out of the ground and into your pouch. Good luck hunting and have a great time with the kids. Oh I am adding a Minelab Explorer II here very soon to the collection, I can't wait until taxes get here to get it.

I just received mine this afternoon. I purchased the F2 with pin-pointer kit...Comes with extra 4" coil and the Fisher Pin-pointer. After giving the Fisher pin-pointer a quick test, I am sure glad I have the Garrett Pro-Pointer, but the Fisher pin-pointer will be good enough to loan to my son or a hunting buddy without a pin-pointer.
HH!

Still keep my f2 in the car with me at all times. F75 AND F5 stay at home, for days that I know where I"ll be hunting then they go with me. (and maybe my wife).

My son uses my f 2 sine I got my 70 the. F 2 is a coin monster you will dig a lot of trash till u get use to the tones but once you get the hang of it it's game on. HH

I have used a F2 for about a year and I love it. After I learned what is was telling me and the subtleties of the sounds and how they relate to the meter reading, I dig very little trash. I love to set it on disc. but leave it on zero disc. and just meter read. The deepest coins I have found were in the 6 inch range. What a neat coin vacuum and also decent relic hunter.

Great to hear all the good reports. I finally got a chance to take the new F2 on it's maiden voyage this afternoon with the 8 inch coil and uncovered 5 dimes, 5 pennies and 1 nickel. Dug a variety of other "things", including the end of a shot gun shell. Probably took one dime at about 6 inches, the rest were shallower. At first I didn't use the discrimination and just hit all sorts of stuff in the park. Finally ran it on full discrimination and quickly pulled 3 dimes and a few pull tabs. This thing is really just about as good as my AT Pro in finding coins. The Pro Pointer really is quite helpful too as is the Lesche sod cutter knife. I can see keeping the F2 in the car too for a quick 10 minute lunch break hunt.

I'm still going to have to figure our the best way to clean off these corroded coins to see what I really have. I hear putting coins in the rock tumbler with aquarium gravel and a bit of dish soap for a couple hours is all it takes. Seems a bit harsh if some of those corroded coins may be of the rarer type...
