How Many Different Models of MXT

I am shopping for an MXT and need to know the various models. I know there is a MXT Pro and then I see the MXT E Series and the MXT Tracker E Series. So what are the proper names, model numbers, for the MXT.

Thanks,
Fred

MXT E Series and the MXT Tracker E Series are exactly the same machine. Both have gloss black paint and came with an Eclipse 950 search coil. There was an MXT 300 sold a while back. The electronics & controls were the same as the first two but it had flat black paint and a 12

The pod is the same size on both machines. The upper screen part that displays VDIs, Icons and Confidence Bars also seems to be the same size on both. On the MXT Pro, the Tone, Ground Grab and Backlight keys occupy most of the space that the target description decal occupies on an MXT. The machines handle identically. However, the added MXT Pro features make an already great machine simply outstanding.

The MXT pro has NO notch feature on it but has a 7 tone and back light and ground grab. If u use notch then the MXT if u dont use notch then u can get an MXT pro as it has all metal lock on the trigger. shortribs

I'm just wondering why the MXT pro, like the earlier MXT, XLT and DFX sport the E series branded products. Where I once worked the the E series products where considered Refurbished products.
I know this is not the case. I don't think the V3i are E series so what is the significance ?

Hunt4Fun,

That is what I was trying to say but did poorly. The space where the target description decal was (MXT E) now has buttons on the MXT Pro. That should be an easy way to tell which model the MXT is.

Thanks,
Fred

That's a good question. White's likes to sort some of their detectors into different series. The M6 used to be called a Matrix series and it still says that on the side of the control box but the White's site has the M6 in the E series group along with the MXT & MXT Pro. I think the XLT was considered an E series. White's used to have a detector called the Matrix 100. The Prizms were of course in the Prizm series. The V3i and VX3 are in the Spectra series. In 35 years using and selling White's detectors, I think it's best to just ignore the "Series" name. I don't think it means squat to the users, maybe it means something to the White's engineers.
