How Lucky!!

So, I've been trying to do research on which tesoro to get. Because of GB, i been leaning toward Tejon or Vaq. An uncle of mine is a MD vet so I tried to get his oppinion on the matter.(he only uses minelabs now) Turns out he had a silver umax, cibola, & Tejon sitting on a shelf in garage. silver was opened but cib & Tejon were still sealed from factory. Originally i was just gonna borrow one to get a feel of tesoro, but when he saw how excited i got to see the Tejon, he said to keep it & enjoy. Great Guy. I still plan on giving him some dough, if he'll let me.

Dude! Way to go. Now, show us your finds! - Terry

Unbelievable.....you lucky DOG!!!!! I was trying to decide between a Tejon or a Vaquero and heard a lot about the Tejon being somewhat "chirpy" so ended up with the Vaquero.....and then......found out that all I would've had to have done was to turn down the sensitivity a tad and I would've been fine! To do it again I would've gotten the Tejon but am thoroughly enjoying the Vaquero and more now that I'm learning it's language! I doubt if you'll ever get rid of it. There's two Tejons....there's the one you get out of the package, put a battery into, read the instructions, and find a lot of stuff. Then there's the Tejon that you've air tested and coin garden tested and have become "soul-mated" to and that's the one you'll really like and compare all others to. Good Luck with it! dan in so cal

Congrats on the Tejon! Sounds like you have a hunting partner for at least some hunts too.

Go buy a lotto ticket and keep the lucky streak going:biggrin....... then go hit that great victorian house that you drool over the car window as you drive by the place..And your Karma is just right for asking permission to hunt the place.. The people will welcome you with open arms and their neibors will ask "can you come over to my yard and detect it tomorrow" ? Ya gotta believe in it sometimes........ the shift has changed in your favour. Good luck, not that you need much more of it...

thanks everyone. I haven't stopped smiling. gonna be a long day at work tomorrow. ( if i dont call out sick) all i wanna do is put time on this thing & start learning its language.

You'll love the Tejon !

Two things for sure!

You were really lucky!

and ......................

You have a machine that comes from a company that has
knows how to take of it's customers!

Wishing you the best of many happy hunts!

Congrats ,,, Get out swingin ,, and give unc a big thanks !!!

tell my long lost uncle hello for me! :) lucky dog! best all around land hunters you can own. best service, long life. mine is my child's age, and I'm a grandpa. only repair was my fault entirely. eldorado rules, big box, but my next will be the tejon! old bones cant swing the big heavy units. tesoro has not come out with new in a while, but how can you improve the best! OK, new combo machines, but if it ain't broke and it works fine, why bother. warning.///// this hobby is addictive. my wife said if you don't stop hunting and start doing things around the house, I'm leaving........ bought a case of batteries :) kidding......
