How long to charge Equinox 800 first time?

Tony N (Michigan)

Active member
I just got my Equinox 800.

Does anyone know how long to charge the headphones, control unit and wireless batter the first time?

Thanks.

Tony

Phones go until red lights go out . Control unit and wireless module until lights stop flashing . I usually then just let them keep charging until I'm ready to use.

Thanks. The lights went out on the headphones within about a little under an hour. Everything else is still flashing. I just want to make sure the batteries are fully charged the first time.

Tony,
I don't remember the precise time, but I think it was like 3 or 3.5 hrs the first charge.

It will be drastically different based on the charger you used.
If you're using a 1 amp charger it will literally take twice as long as the 2 amp chargers.

Good luck, and HH

I have been charging the main unit for 6 1/2 hours and the light is still blinking. I'm using a Samsung USP charger
that is 5.3 volts and 2.0 Amps. I hope nothing is wrong.
The headphones took under an hour to charge and the wireless battery took close to two hours.

I'm using a Samsung USB charger which is 5.3 volts and 2.0 Amps and after 6 1/2 hours the main control unit is still blinking.

I've had mine take 4 1/2 hrs to charge and that was with 2 bars left before starting to recharge.

Usually Li-ion charge much quicker than other batteries. Maybe I will have to keep in on the charger over night. I hope that is okay.

I don't trust the rated output on chargers.. I have some that is rated the same.. but only 2 will be close to their ratings. those two will chrge my phone or my Nox quick.. the others drag on for several hours longer. I hope the chargers are you issue at not with the battery.. HH

Glad your in business Tony, cant wait to see your results! Lots of good reports about it's ability in iron, bet you will do great. Still saving for one myself so had my Golden µmax re calibrated so i can get at it now.

It depends ...... lith charge depending on power source, capacity and how charged they were in the first place. Ive got a good charger i think the machine took about 4 hours.

Takes mine longer if I plug charger in a power strip or lamp plug at hotel it's better to plug straight to the wall half charging time!

Seven hours to charge seemed a little long for me. Maybe I got a bad Samsung charging unit? Even though it is rated at 2 amps, maybe it is actually a 1 amp?

It should take 4 hours to charge. Read page 8 of the instruction manual. 1.7A @ 5 V

You plug the usb into your laptop or pc and that will charge also

I ordered a new USB plug in the wall charger that is 2.4 amps per thingamagiggydiggydoodle. It has 5 of them.

I wonder if the Samsung one I have that says it is 2.0 amps is actually more like a 1.0 amps because it took 7 hours to charge.
