How long have the..........

current Cortes and DeLeon been around? I'm guessing more than 8 yrs..................would they not have made good candidates for an upgrade?? Wonder why they are not being reworked.? Does Tesoro just not have the money or maybe being mainly a "beep and dig" manufacturer................they don't have the engineering needed? What would you say

I dont know, but I wish they would make the Cortes and DeLeon with a bigger screen.

I have and use both with good results. If I were making any changes I'd definitely want a larger screen on the Cortes and have the manual ground balance in sync with the discrimination mode rather than just the all metal. Other than that I'm pretty well satisfied with it. I use the D in fairly mild ground and it has been very good to me and (for me) the screen is just big enough.

I was using my DeLeon today....it is one of my oldest, and still one of my best machines....why would you want to upgrade it.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.........................wow; just think of what kind of aircraft we'd be flying in if this line of thinking was used in the aircraft industry. I'd like to se a Deleon 2 and some substantial improvements. Progress is important even " if something ainlt broke" !!!

Now If you wanna plunk down the kind of money they spend in the aircraft industry on a metal detector. I'm sure Tesoro will be there to upgrade. But You really are not planning on paying 7 digits for the next coil cover are you ? There are some things to consider as to why they have not been making any changes and some of them are increased pressure with regards to what technology get exported outta this country. Just because you do not think about what somebody can turn into a weapon doesn't nean that many companies are having problems at how programable devices are being misused. Beside...what we have does work quite well..Our biggest problems are increased amounts of junk being thrown on the ground now.
As well as into the water. THey have had to remove the lead in circuts.
