how long can you detect with 1 bar on batteries? n/t

If this in refernce to a GB ( I have a GB SE 2.9 version ) then not long. I have found not only is the time frame short with one bar, the unit starts to get pretty erratic.

One caveat...this happened when I was hunting on a salt water beach ( but prior to that, the unit ran smooth ), so I am not sure if the erratic nature was due the salt water and the machines power being less that optimal for those conditions, or if it happens in general in normal soil.

How long!!! Well, do you have headphones, number of targets? These questions need to be answered first. Just to tell you have hunted for two hours before it went dead.

I cant tell you how long, because I dont time it, but on a good brand battery, I get a lot onger than I thought I would. Cheaper brand battery, not as long, but long enough to make it worthwhile hunting with the battery at that level. Still got good depth too.
