How is the CZ 21?

Any info regarding CZ 21 in fresh or salt conditions and if any comparisons to the Minelab excal without starting a war would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I've had my CZ-21 about 1 1/2 years and really like it, easy to learn and built like a tank. You may want to ask this in the beach and water forum, there are some fairly successful CZ-21 hunters over there. However, you may get a light flaming for not searching all the old posts that have gone over this before.

There are several differences in each unit, which only you can decide which ones would benefit you the most. Below are some of the main ones:

CZ - Dual frequency, Silent search in discrimination mode, manual ground balance, 3 tones, concentric coil design, low tone on iron in discrimate mode when set to 0

Excal - Multi-frequency, Threshold based in discriminate mode, automatic ground balance, multiple tones, DD coil design, null on iron in discriminated mode

As far as depth and sensitivity to gold, having used both units, I say it's a wash ( but conditions play a vital role and a CZ may do better is some conditions whereas an Excal may out do it in others).

Like I stated in the first sentence...only YOU can decide which one, based on the features of the unit and conditions you will be hunting, will be best suited for you,.

Love my CZ. Also love the silent search. Minelab would drive me crazy. I dive and need to listen for boats. LOL Toad is right! I used to do the light flaming!! I get frustrated with people beating a dead horse.
