hey there cortez or deleon owners just currious on the performance on salt beaches with these machines so any feed back would be great i think i will be aquiring a cortes very soon and yet to own one so currious what to expect.

Mabee, a little. The cortez will work ,it just not the best, you will probably have to back off on the sens.

I've used the DeLeon on the dry sand....it worked well with good depth. I haven't used it on the wet sand, but would not expect fantastic results or great depth..it's just not built for that sort of stuff. HH

yeah no big deal just trying to get a average opinion i'll just break down and get another vaquero again someday for speacialized hunts

Hey Javelin, you used to have a V didn't you? Did you ever use it on the beach?

I'm heading to the beach this weekend and will try mine out.

Hey Sandcat, I had a V. Excellent depth in the dry sand with some chatter in black sand areas, not too good on wet. If I remember correctly, 4-5 inches max in the wet when I tested a gold ring or coin.
