How is the 6 inch DD Excelerator coil in trashy areas

Was wondering how the 6 inch DD is in trashy areas compered to the 5.3 Eclipse coil..thanks in advance for input..Curt

I haven't used the 6"DD excellerator, but use the 6X10 Whites DD most of the time. I find it to be way ahead of the stock 9.5 in trash and good enough (in trash) that I only occasionally use my 5.3. The main difference would be (I think) is that the 6x10 will cover a bit more area in the long dimension but other than that they should be similar. Compared to the 5.3 it's probably a bit better in mineralized ground and may separate a bit better due to the DD configuration.

i was wondering this same thing. I have the 4x6 shooter and not sure if i could upgrade to something better than what i have or if the shooter is as good as i can get......i do ghost town detecting.
Sorry Curt for butting in

like it. It did well in most applications, and it is a round-shaped coil which I favor. I got better depth of detection than with the so-called 4X6 Shooter coil, but my #1 and #2 small-coil picks are the 5.3 Eclipse and the 5" Excelerator DD.

Gene rally, I favor a concentric design and the 5.3 Eclipse, like the 5.3 BullsEye I use on my XLT, is a 6
