How I pinpoint with the Vaquero

To pinpoint I move the coil off the target , then with short sweeps advance it. I take notice where the leading edge of the coil is when it first starts getting a solid signal. I keep the short sweeps going and continue to advance the coil and take note where the trailing edge of the coil is when the signal disappears. In the middle of those two points is where the target usually is.On a shallow target the two points are the often the same. On deeper targets they tend to be further apart. I dont X the spot. This method works better for me.

I just use short rapid small sweeps and back it up.And use the magic eye technique, just lock on to the spot with your eye. What is nice is pinpointing from the surface with the pointer. You can really cut a small hole.
