with all the damage katrina did to the oil & gas production platforms in the gulf it's going to be a long time (years) before we are back to 100% production.a platform can have one(1)well to sixty(60)wells on it.believe me a 50ft wall of water in a 150mph wind WILL bend a lot of iron.
anyway the quarters platform you see on t v that broke loose and ran into the bridge is an old floating drilling rig.it belongs to the mexican gov.. they removed the drilling package and installed more living quarters.it's now a floating hotel..
how many of you think we own all those oil companies that have gas stations in your local neighborhood..very few!! shell oil=royal dutch in holland,,total(toe-tal)a french co.,,how about B.P.= BRITTISH PETROLEUM= ENGLAND,,phillips petroleum = venezuela....THE UNITED STATES IS THE CASH COW AND EVERYONE WANTS THEIR PART.
WHY IS BUSH HATED BY THE FAR LEFT?..COULD IT BE BECAUSE HE IS A CHRISTIAN?
DOES THE WORD ILLEGAL STILL HAVE A MEANING?..NOT WHEN IT APPLIES TO AN ALIEN.
DOES THE A.C.L.U. STAND FOR AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES?..UN AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION.
ILLEGALS CAN GET A LOAN AND NOT PAY IT BACK BECAUSE THE BANKS GET IT OFF THEIR INCOME TAX.

And I heard that the U.S.A. is supposed to release some of our oil reserves to help in the shortage and reducing high gas prices!

instead of driving the van. Bet the price of bicycles goes up more than they already are - and then of course there will be more bicycle thefts. BTW maybe time to invest in a locking gas cap for your vehicle(s).
