How good is the 10.5 coil?

Operates just like the 8" coil-but with greater depth. I got a signal in a schoolyard and after a foot w/screwdriver had to give up because I didn't have a shovel-which is probably best in a schoolyard. I was trying for the extra ground coverage-which I got- and got some deep signals and was just in the wrong place to dig holes
