How far back should I go for the Sovereign GT

Hi:
I never did connect with a good deal on a sovereign GT.
I was hoping to get one in great shape with a meter.
How far back does the GT go before I begin to worry about it being old.
They haven't changed anything have they. anyone have the Gt and the Safari.
Does the extra frequencies of the Safari make a big difference?

iv had 3 GT's ...2 Elite's and 2 XS2A pro's..they all are great detectors and all work about equal.id use caution on any before the Elite as i here some parts are no longer avalible.i like the Elite and GT better as the battery system is better.eather one is good ,i just like the GT the best overall.

Personally I wouldn't consider a Safari. I'd either get a GT or an E-TRAC... or an F75, there are some GREAT deals on them right now. They will all work for you if you swing the coil over a good target... you just have to take the time to learn the machine.

I'm not sure why you would be deciding between a GT and a Safari.

David none of the GTs are very old, thats minelabs newest sovereign.

never used a safari so I cant comment on it compared to the GT.

bling, that only applies to the older blue excals with the sword on side.

i got this last week from the horses mouth last week when i asked about repairs to older sovereigns.

Hello Tuffy we still repair the old units if in good shape.

We have none left in stock I am trying to get some, that and some other older parts for the sovereign.
