How effective is the 1280X on mineralized ground?

Heath

I Just picked up a used 1280x for water and some land detecting. The ground here has heavy iron minerals and was wondering about the performance in such conditions. It seems to do alright on some testing but I'm limited to more testing do to the snow that is still here. The snow melt is on the way but we are about a month out before land is in sight. The detector didn't come with a belt clip. Is the clip available seperately? So far it looks like a pretty sound metal detector, I haven't seen negative posts about this model.:fisher::super:
