how does the vaquero do in highly mineralized ground

for instance, i have a basalt rock , and even my GT in disq will not ick up a dime under this rock it goes silent , but my all metal mode shen ground balanced picks up the dime very well and with dime removed does not false on the rock , ??? can the vaquero do this in all metal , that is can you ground balance on the stone and not get a signal and then put the dime under it and get the dime in all metal ? I would like to know
