How does the Sunray 12'' coil compare to 10'' Fisher coil?

In a nutshell both pinpoint quite well for larger coils and are heavy and provide better coverage and seem to get coins on edge better and provide better depth.

Sunray makes excellent pricey products and the 12 is no longer made but it was deeper, provided better coverage and its design made it easier to swing even though both were about the same weight, was deeper and of course due to its size easily masked potential good targets.

I'd sure like to locate a Sunray FZ-12! My son has been using my Fisher 10.5" coil so much on his CZ-3D I can't seem to claim it back!
I know the FZ-12s are hard to find but I'm sure someone has one they would part with. My Fisher chest harness makes swinging the bigger coils a snap

No way:bouncy:...If it ever "crapped out" on me I would not feel the same about using the CZ (have the same confidence).

By having 2 of them I have assured myself I won't have to be without one.

The CZ's are still one of the deepest seeking detectors on the planet with the Sunray 12" on them....period:thumbup:

Good luck in your search for one...and if you fo find one...I don't think you'll regret making the purchase.

Thanks Bryce , i was thinking of selling mine.
I will put that on hold for a bit.
I love it on the beach but have not been beach hunting much and tried it only a few time in the dirt.
I did go to a small well hunted park this weekend and got a bouncy mid to iron tone .
Dug a stubby but fat piece of iron , rescanned and mid tone was much better , at around 8 inches i hit and killed a thin gold plate pocket watch back.

Man you guys are killin' me! gmanlight are you ABSOLUTELY sure you will not sell yours??? $250 PayPal waiting for you.
And remember this... later this year Fisher will be coming out with their new detector. You just know it is gonna be good. Fisher is well aware of the ETrac and XP Deus
so it has to be a good one! I will be making the leap. The CZ-3D may well finally be a fond old memory. Time to sell that seldom used loop :)
