How does the frequency shift work?

I was adjusting the ground balance manually & I saw F6 & F7 flash briefly. Are these frequency adjustments supposed to be manual or automatic? Don't know if I did something to make F6 & F7 appear or if it was automatic? The 30 page instruction manual I have doesn't even mention the frequency shift. Thanks for any info. George (mn)

The original manual doesn't say-but the new one does from what I've read(Haven't rec'd mine yet) To change freq's you push the menu and push or pull the trigger at the same time. John

You can try a different freq. to alter any interference you are getting from your surroundings.....Freq's are:1)12.821 Hz
2)12.876
3)12.931
4)12.987(default)
5)13.043
6)13.100
7)13.158

You change frequencies by holding down either the button or the knob and pulling the trigger. You may have inadvertently done that while adjusting the GB.
