How does the 250 handle nails and rusted bottlecaps?

Frank....it handles bottlecapps the way most other detectors handle them. If they are deep and very rusted, it will id them as a good target, or slightly left of the coin icons on the face of the machine. Also, if they are the old caps with an aluminum found disk which was glued to the cork liner, surprise...."looks and sounds like a coin" too. On the plus side, if you are finding bottle caps reading as coins, you are in a fairly old area with the possibility of finding old coins. I actually like finding an area giving up caps sounding like good targets. Good information to know. And yes........new bottle caps will show up as bottle caps, unless they are bent or flattened.
Hope this helps.
