How does the 1236 X2 compared to the 1270 for depth?

I'm looking for a back up detector. How does the 1236 X2 compare with the 1270 for depth?

Thanks,

jimmyk in Missouri

was air-tested down below and where he tested 8'' on a nickel, the 1270 gave a good, repeated signal at 11''.

Hope this helps.

But are also limited. I'd call the 1270 the depth winner.
NOT the best detector for general use though, by all accounts.
If you are just wanting a knock around detector as back up, the 1236-X2 is gonna be hard to beat.

1270 is a winner when compared to 1236. The first one has a decent depth and it is almost as simple as 1236.

My choice would be 1270.
