My neighbor lost his wedding ring and wants help finding it. I said oh gold or silver? He responded , no platinum. I didnt check the manual, but how does platinum id? Hi numbers like silver or aluminum like for gold? It is a long shot as he was on a long steep bank along a major county road hacking brush- there are tons of pull tabs etc. I said dude you are in deep do do. Any advice on finding platinum would be appreciated, CO

Best advice..........a LARGE finder's fee!!

Can't advise you on the VID #, but if it is a recent drop you shouldn't have to dig.If you find i,t you should be able to see it, maybe have too push the grass aside or something.

With my F75, I found a 6 gram platinum man's wedding band that hit as a solid 30, right in the nickel range. I also found an 8 gram platinum woman's diamond wedding ring using my Safari, and the ID on that one was significantly lower than the nickel range.

Good luck!

My wife wears a platinum engagement ring and a platinum wedding band.

The engagement ring displays 18 on my LTD; the wedding band 20.

I thought I would give gold a better chance today and dug every foil and tab range signal I got..........sure got a lot of foil and tabs.

Thanks all for you input, I will be paying some attention to the lower numbers. The grass is very thick in some areas, tough going.CO
