How does a Tesoro fare in the wet sand ?

Hello,

I haven't had a metal detector since I had an old radio shack model 25 years ago. I decided that I wanted another and have done a little research. I thought that the Vaquero seemed like a good machine and was in my price range. I have tried to find the best machine for the money that would function well in a variety of situations. I was recently told that I should be careful in selecting a machine that will function in wet sand at the ocean. I usually vacation once or twice per year at the beach and would love to know that the Vaquero would do ok. The rest of the year will be spent coin shooting at parks, schools, and old homestead locations. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Dry sand OK, wet sand no. You may be able to reduce sensitivty and increase discrimination to quiet it down.
