How do you store your coins?

Hi All,

Wrapping up my season here and was wondering what people use to store and keep their coins nice? I know Terry (Goes4Ever) has a great guide on his site with instructions for cleaning finds, but I am interested in hearing how you store them - what types of holders, maybe they vary on the coin and the condition? Any pros/cons for the different holders?

I want to get my finds cleaned up and stored properly and would appreciate understanding the different ways that everyone manages their finds as a guide to properly building out my collection!

I put all of my silver finds into 2X2 coin flips, with a date and where(abouts) I found it. Anything else, unless it's rare or key-date, goes in a canning jar. I found a 1914-D wheat penny which I put in an airtight, ringed coin-holder.

Throw them all in a wooden box after cleaning........No orginization at all LOL...I'm going to have to thin them out soon.
I have thousands...

Because I don't find all that many silver coins, I put them in those 4x? clear plastic cases that have the partitions in them like what they use for holding bolts and screws in or small lures and flies. One coin per section, same for jewelry and rings.

Store my finds ????I put all my coins into plastic mayo jars ..without the mayo. The few coins that are special are in an empty mint container.
