How do you re-size your pictures for upload????

I have a feeling that many people on here would like to upload pictures of what they have found but hit the wall with the 420 KB limit. Depending on the size you take a picture on your digi camera it could be too big to start with and many people don't know or aren't computer savy enough to know how to size it down to get it uploaded.....

I'd like to get some basic comments on how you size your pics. For me, I use Photo Shop, resize everything to 640x480 and have the setting for "save for web" which crunches the file size down to dang near nothing and the quality is still as good as the original. I LOVE PHOTO SHOP!!!

Any ideas or suggestions on a "beginners guide to uploading pictures" might a great thing..........

Happy hunting and holidays,
Rosco

My cheap digital camera can adjust to 640 by picking TV size in the DPI section of the start up menu
then take the photo and directly up-load

Happy Holidays

I can do that also. I take most of mine at 640x480 but sometimes I use a different setting for a bigger/better/higher quailty pic then resize it down for the upload limits. There are many ways to do it..........
