How do you mount the tiger shark?

Hank68

Well-known member
Just wondering what position you mount ? I think I will mount it on the chest while water hunting any good tips, thanks Hank

I would mount it under the arm cup.It balance's well there.it is a little harder to get to the controls but not to bad
.Good luck ,it is a fantastic machine.

Hank,

I always mount my control box in front of the hand grip. I usually have the whole unit submerged and the Tiger Shark has a neutral buoyancy when under water.

I have mounted the control box at the rear position under the armcup before and it tends to balance the detector better when hunting shallow water or on land.

Tips? get a good waterscoop, understand how to ground balance & set up controls per the manual.

Thanks for the great tips, I'm counting down the hours til I get it, I wish they had more videos on YouTube of the tiger shark , HH hank

Hombre, what's your opinion on a good water scoop? If I had to just pick one right now w/o researching I would probably get the aluminum rtg with SS tip, small holes towards the lip.

Habanero,

I only have experienced one water scoop, and it is a Treasure Coast Scoops,(bought in 2001) don't know if they are still around. But, the one I have is good one, model #111 Stainless Duckbill Waterscoop, 5" diameter,

The chest mount I think is best.

It means less arm fatigue and the weight of the control box won't try to drag your belt down.

When I was using a Sand Shark, I would sometimes place it inside a fanny pack and it worked surprisingly well.

I haven't tried the chest mount yet , thanks.

:wave:Hank check out the Plunger shaft,at http://www.indiannationsdetectors.com/ custom rods I have one my Tiger and love it.

Thanks pulltaber I know you at home with the tiger shark ! Thanks I will get it soon! HH tigerhank68

I like to chest mount mine using the belt to help seal my waders (when worn) around my chest.
