Very sad news from my daughter last night. Her best friends husband [And I would say our adopted son... since we saw so much of this couple when we were in Victoria.. They would come up to the farm and she would ride horses and he would come to the shop and either talk to me or work on his projects] was killed in a motorcycle accident. My daughters husband was taking pictures of this young man on his motorcycle. Apparently, several times the cyclist was asked to slow down since the photos were not all that viewable due to the speed.

On one of the runs, he was going at an estimated 100 mph+ and lost control. Very upsetting and distressing.... the more so since my daughters husband was taking the photos.

Calm seas, fair winds

Folks riding a motorcycle forget that they have no protection if something goes wrong and they go down. Sad to hear about this death, it did not need to happen. Kelley (Texas)

High speeds on a bike in what ever way your using it don't leave much room for error. All the worst if loved ones are there when it happens. 100+ on anything is usually fatal.... Wish for all of you it didn't happen, but it did. Everyone tells them to back off the throttle but they don't listen. I've made those errors also but was lucky. My sincerest sympathy to all of you for lost.

Mikie, you and your family have my deepest sympathy for the loss you have experienced.

May God bring His Peace to you all in this trying time,

And one that won't soon be forgotten. My sympathies and prayers go out to all of you guys.

thankful that we got away with some antics that could have put us there. They say it is an ill wind that does not blow some good but cold comfort for the family and friends.
