How do you like the color? AT Pro..

I REALLY like the black color of this detector! I've never been a fan of the yellow on the ACE (use a rain cover), nor particularly of the green on others, although I can live with both since the function is usually more important to me than form. Garrett says they opted for black as being more 'professional'..hmm. Anyway, I think the black will help me to sneak up on those elusive silver coins! Seriously though, do you think they went with black just to have a little better marketing appeal with the folks that put a high value on appearance?

Yes, I like the color. I think they made the Ace series yellow to appeal to younger and new hunters just getting into the hobby. I guess they didn't know all us old guys were going to buy them.

LOL-true, and that's the beauty of the ACE! It works great being used by a newbie, even better by somebody that has a little experience.. To be honest, they could've made the AT Pro pink and I'd still buy it! LOL..

When I was thinking about buying the Ace 250 I never even took the color into consideration. It was all about it's abilities. The color of the AT is cool though..

I thought it ought to have a yellow control with a green shaft. But the black looks good to me. I think it'll be ok no matter what color they made it..

Yeah I love the black, it looks "bad". I was hoping their next machine would be that color as I was getting tired of green and yellow.
